WOYWW 159.....Last time from my old desk!

Hello Everyone! Thanks for popping by to have a snoop at what could be the last ever pic of my Big Old Desk for What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday!
I have decided its time to get rid of it to the Garage & have a worktop along the length of the wall. I am as we speak filling out my Ikea Shopping list! Hopefully the work will be done in the next two weeks!....(mmmm maybe blind optimism) but cant be without my crafty space for long :( makes me feel anxious the thought of no desk!

I took the pictures while I was making the card in the next pic.
I Have a feel for the busy Vintage style at the moment. Seems my past few cards have been that kind of look. Think maybe some of it is down to the past two lots of Anna Griffin stamps sets I have bought. I love what she creates & the elegance of her designs. Its fired my Inspiration & got me enthused :) I have used on of Astrid's Freebie Friday Tags again as they are so lovely & easy to incorporate for a great Vintage look! Theres a link on my sidebar to her Blog, she does some really wonderful work!

I have now sent out all my ATC's from the 3rd WOYWW Anniversary swap, thank you to all my swappers! I will show them all when I have received them, as I still have two from the USA on there way. Hope you all have a great week & off to desk snoop!

Yep, that's definitely one super busy vintage style card. Very impressive, I admit. The recipient will be very pleased and honored, I'm sure. Have a great WoYWW from # 10.

good idea, I have a 'bench' (hubby made it) And then on the other side... an old kitchen work top, a long length...where mostly I scribble, as I usually stand at my beach to craft..it's higher...and holds loads of 'stuff' under it too. Looking forward to seeing your 'new' work top! Thank you for my snoop, have a great week. HaPpY WoYwW!

maybe you should set your desk up in a temporary spot so you don't have to go cold turkey during the renovation! beautiful tag!! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)

Went to Ikea last week myself and came home almost broke. Bought two sizes of Expedit and a few other things. My daughter bought a new desk top so not to be undone I bought a IKEA 6' right angle desk from a friend. So moving in the near future...after I get back from vacation. Have a great week. I love the ATC! Did we swap? ;-) Vickie #23

Wow, stunning card. Very jealous at the thought of a work desk across the length of the wall, think how much you can spread out on that!

Hope you don't have too long to wait for your new workspace - it will be worth it if it gives you more room, something I'm short of. Love the colours on your card and tag, very vintage, very pretty.

Oh lovely stuff Lavinia, proof indeed that vintage doesn't have to be in seven shades of wee wee!
I think a 6ft length of worktop will be just the ticket, good luck with installation, I'm sure you will find it worth any wait!

Sounds like an exciting time Lavinia, I always like to re-org my craft area and find new homes for everything. The goose was really cute, I would have taken it home as a pet if I could have! I don't think you'd like the hot temps, there's hot and then there's extreme! Too stinking hot to go outside and do anything when I get home from work, but you're right, get up early and go to the lakes, that's such a great plan!

Happy Summer Solstice too!
Hugs

Hi Lavinia,

I really love all your cards (pinned them with the name of your blog)! They are that shabby chic look that I so love.

Time got away from me so don't have a WOYWW post today. I just wanted to pop in to visit and see what you've been up to.

Hugs,
Kay

I hope you get your new desk up and running quickly - you'll be having withdrawal symptoms if you end up with nowhere to craft for too long!

Hi Lavinia I too have a craft room a la Ikea! They are so fab at storage ideas. I wonder if they know how many crafters use their stuff! Your card is beautiful. The delicate turquoise trim is perfect. I am going to check your link out. Hugs from Helen 107

I had 4wks of being boxed up while our garage was converted into my den - it nearly drove me NUTS!!! I had the space of an A3 cutting mat on the dining room table and that was about it for that time! Hope your workspace update goes a lot quicker than mine did!!
