Halloween Rock Birthday Card!

Here's my offering for Halloween! I was asked to make a card for a Friends husband's 40th Birthday this weekend. It gave me a chance to try out the Tim Holtz Skull Grungboard I have had for ages! I covered it with silver gilding then distressed it with a Cats Eye Charcoal ink pad. Added some silver brads on the bone ends & attached some lightweight chains. I matted the purple card that I dry embossed using a Glitter Girls Embossing panels on some black sparkle paper then on silver card. Inside the card the snake effect paper I used was from Paperchase. I made the Sentiment Embellishments using some La Blanche clear sparkle window stickers. I first of all placed a peel off on it then covered it with fancy black glittery card, again from Paperchase & then mounted them on 3D foam. I attached the Bat charm underneath the Happy Birthday embellishment using Pinflair glue.
I had to make a box for the card as it was quite heavy & deep, due to all the layers on it! I just made up another similer embellishment for the box again using another Tim Holtz Grungboard piece, layered up and embossed with eyelets and some purple & silver threaded wire around the edge. I am pleased with the end result and I enjoyed doing something different too!
Well hope you all enjoy the spooky weekend when the vail between the world's are thin! Remember those who have gone before & raise a glass to the Old One's! Blessings to you all!

WOYWW 72....Erm how big is this.....ATG Tape Gun

Well....what can I say! First of all a big "Sorry" to Julia dunnit! I have teased you about your big, nay massive ATG Tape gun! I have scoffed & pointed and giggled, many a time at pictures of it! However I have seen your wisdom , your right, I eat my words! It's a great Gadget! Cant belive I have coped for so long without it! I am learning to love my ATG!! :))
So busy with festive cards! I do love making them & seem to start earlier every year! This year I got some lovely Festive "My Mind's Eye" fancy card blanks in the sale at the Range 50 for a £5 bargain! I also used some nice Vintage & Victorian embelishments a well as some Red & White and Blue & white twine I found in a French Antique Shop.
I am having a crafty problem & it's really bugging me now? Can anyone help me out & tell me the best way to attatch Organza Ribbon Bow's? I love using them, but the they very rarely stick to my cards! I have used, PVA, Double sided tape, Pin Flair Glue & Hi Tack.....I know I know, whats going on, they should be sticking! Any ideas would be appriciated!
I hope your all doing well & getting time to Craft yourselves. With dark nights drawing in it's nice to be able to withdaraw to my crafty space & get making!

Yule cards!

Hello! Though I better get going with some Christmas cards, or Yule Cards as I prefer to call them! I used a Marianne desingns Mini Posinsettia die cut, its only small but I love it & as you can see it makes great little embellishments! I decided over the weekend I better get my Box from the loft with all the stuff I make them with. I normally box everything up in the new year and put all the christmassy stamps & papers away. Even though I had loads of stuff I still went out and got more stuff this weekend! I am loving Papermainias "Silent Night" collection. I like the traditional look! However I did buy some hot pink & black mat stacks from DCWV & embellishments! Been busy with home stuff again past few weeks, had a wood burning stove put in my Front Room and now its finally up & running & lovely & warm!!! so that's my excuse for the lack of posts plus been lacking a bit of inspiration, as you do sometimes I suppose. Hope you all well & enjoying the the view from your window of all the Trees changing colour! Love Autumn and all the hues from green to red to gold! Take care everyone!
