WOYWW 144.....a messy desk!

Well I must admit! This is quite a messy looking space for me, normally I am pretty tidy while crafting away. However I have had one of those days were things get pulled out I start something, then the phone rings......start doing something again.......then the phone rings! Argh.....distracting me on a day when I just wanted to get on & craft away the day! All the usual suspects on the desk, inks & punches & stamps.. an early Anna Griffin set. The purple storage box is full of peel off's. Some folk frown upon them still, for some strange reason! I love them & feel they finished off a project sometimes.

Been using the new Hunkydory Adorable Scorable card & ended up with this, a sort of stepper/easel card. Green's are not normally a colour I use often but its nice the have a change now & again.

Here's the finished said card, placed on my scoring board that's a rather loud colour, A valuable piece of crafty equipment I really could not do without! Thanks to everyone who visited me last week, its was great to see your comments :) and nice to get round desks myself & see all the wonderful & diverse desks of the world!

Dont know what the heck I am talking about? Is this woman nuts? Well I might be that! But this is "What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday" go here for more info

Have a great week everyone & take care & keep well & warm!

Hi Lavinia,

Oh, I'm lovin' this card! You did a great job choosing the greens, despite not being a color that you usually work with.

The desk looks well loved!!! Oh, and turn off the phone! ;-)

It's good to work in colours out of our comfort zone at times. Love the effect you've got with this card.

I love this card, it is really elegant, and different too. Does it fold down flat for posting? If you want to try the Barbara Gray thing with the black card, I asked her for help as the second attempt was no better, and she was using Perfect Pearls, not the cheap micas I had. Hope this helps you. xx Maggie

Looks like you have a very busy desk this week Lavinia.
I agree with you on the use of Peel-offs. I must admit I don’t use them often but when I do it’s mainly borders and corners that I use.

The card you’ve made is beautiful. I’ve never used Hunkydory things myself but it always looks to be good quality

Happy Crafting!

You call that an untidy desk! I say pah, with added derision and scorn!! That's a beautiful card though, very pretty. And yay to Spring almost being here, feel like it is today as it's 19C out! Our clocks go forward this coming weekend, really looking forward to the lighter evenings again.

I love the way that card is folded...i have never made a card like that...So pretty.
After I get all my comments done (shich usually takes till Sat am...I think I will pop back to you and try to figure out how to fold this. I do have a scorepal too but mine is a very boring colour. Sort of a dirty beige. Yours is ever so much prettier.

Your desk is ultra neat and tidy and the step card is lovely!! I think peel offs have their place in the scheme of things, even though I am not overly fond of them myself but when they look like yours... I cannot argue!! LOL
