Pink & Purple & A Bargain!

Delved in to an DCWV Rose Tinted Christmas paper stack to do these! Fancied a bit of a change form Brown & Blue, although I will be doing more of that combo as I have just been asked to make 6 cards for someone, I do love it! Anyway added some embossed mirror card & pearl card for the matting & layering and on the second one added a little made up bow at the bottom. I used some nice trim, looks like a frosty spiderweb up close, the pic doesn't do it justice really, I purchased it in Nice France on my hols this year and wished I would have got more! Used the Marianne designs die again and Fiskers now famous, as well all went mad for it, Threading Water Edge Punch. Also squeezed on some of the little Mosaic glass tiles, just s little extra sparkle!
My next pic is a bargain of the month I think.....................

24 Scotch Glue sticks for, wait for it......£5.25 I know a complete BARGAIN!!!! They came form Costco last week, the Manchester Branch, so any of you with a membership for Costco go and get a pack now! They also do a nice paper pack at the min too and a few other craft scissors and stuff! Worth a visit if your near. Another place I just discovered for crafty stuff this week was Dunelm? Probably most of you know about it but it was new to me & got a 3 for 2 yesterday on Peel Offs! Well off to stoke up the Woodburner is cold here today, sunny but very cold!

WOYWW.....Blue & Brown!

I am loving g.d.c studio's "Ella Blue" Papers! Just wanted to do something different for Xmas cards & got inspired by an article in Craft Stamper magazine. Also nice to have a change with the little die cut Poinsettia in white pearl card too! The sentiment stamp if by PSX, I actually got it when I want to Monte Carlo! Typically me, found the only craft shop for miles around, some people would bring back other things from a holiday their, not me! Loved the shop more than all the sight seeing! Although lunch at the Cafe de Paris was wonderful!
Anyhow I digress. The glitter card came from Hobbycraft & I used Mac Gills Pine punch for the brown fronds, finished with Platinum Stickles & Glossy Accents.
Mr Binxz decided to sit on my Laptop in protest at me not giving him enough attention, I was just looking at a great web site dedicated to craft rooms too! The pic of all the toppers was a bargain buy this week from The Range 4 packs for a £1, so I got all these for £4! And theres a pic of my Xmas crafty box & dunno what to do with the flower soft toppers I made yet?
Hope you all well & doing ok this week. I am feeling perked up this week! Thank you to everyone who left me a comment last week, and the kind words you sent me, it really cheered me up! I don't feel like I have a lot of energy sometimes to blog or surf as much as I did, so its really appreciated at the moment, Thank you! "Hello" to my new followers too! Thanks for taking time to have a look at my site & joining in my crafty journey!
See you all soon!

Halloween Rock Birthday Card!

Here's my offering for Halloween! I was asked to make a card for a Friends husband's 40th Birthday this weekend. It gave me a chance to try out the Tim Holtz Skull Grungboard I have had for ages! I covered it with silver gilding then distressed it with a Cats Eye Charcoal ink pad. Added some silver brads on the bone ends & attached some lightweight chains. I matted the purple card that I dry embossed using a Glitter Girls Embossing panels on some black sparkle paper then on silver card. Inside the card the snake effect paper I used was from Paperchase. I made the Sentiment Embellishments using some La Blanche clear sparkle window stickers. I first of all placed a peel off on it then covered it with fancy black glittery card, again from Paperchase & then mounted them on 3D foam. I attached the Bat charm underneath the Happy Birthday embellishment using Pinflair glue.
I had to make a box for the card as it was quite heavy & deep, due to all the layers on it! I just made up another similer embellishment for the box again using another Tim Holtz Grungboard piece, layered up and embossed with eyelets and some purple & silver threaded wire around the edge. I am pleased with the end result and I enjoyed doing something different too!
Well hope you all enjoy the spooky weekend when the vail between the world's are thin! Remember those who have gone before & raise a glass to the Old One's! Blessings to you all!

WOYWW 72....Erm how big is this.....ATG Tape Gun

Well....what can I say! First of all a big "Sorry" to Julia dunnit! I have teased you about your big, nay massive ATG Tape gun! I have scoffed & pointed and giggled, many a time at pictures of it! However I have seen your wisdom , your right, I eat my words! It's a great Gadget! Cant belive I have coped for so long without it! I am learning to love my ATG!! :))
So busy with festive cards! I do love making them & seem to start earlier every year! This year I got some lovely Festive "My Mind's Eye" fancy card blanks in the sale at the Range 50 for a £5 bargain! I also used some nice Vintage & Victorian embelishments a well as some Red & White and Blue & white twine I found in a French Antique Shop.
I am having a crafty problem & it's really bugging me now? Can anyone help me out & tell me the best way to attatch Organza Ribbon Bow's? I love using them, but the they very rarely stick to my cards! I have used, PVA, Double sided tape, Pin Flair Glue & Hi Tack.....I know I know, whats going on, they should be sticking! Any ideas would be appriciated!
I hope your all doing well & getting time to Craft yourselves. With dark nights drawing in it's nice to be able to withdaraw to my crafty space & get making!

Yule cards!

Hello! Though I better get going with some Christmas cards, or Yule Cards as I prefer to call them! I used a Marianne desingns Mini Posinsettia die cut, its only small but I love it & as you can see it makes great little embellishments! I decided over the weekend I better get my Box from the loft with all the stuff I make them with. I normally box everything up in the new year and put all the christmassy stamps & papers away. Even though I had loads of stuff I still went out and got more stuff this weekend! I am loving Papermainias "Silent Night" collection. I like the traditional look! However I did buy some hot pink & black mat stacks from DCWV & embellishments! Been busy with home stuff again past few weeks, had a wood burning stove put in my Front Room and now its finally up & running & lovely & warm!!! so that's my excuse for the lack of posts plus been lacking a bit of inspiration, as you do sometimes I suppose. Hope you all well & enjoying the the view from your window of all the Trees changing colour! Love Autumn and all the hues from green to red to gold! Take care everyone!

WOYWW 67........Blue Feather Card!

Hello WOYWW'ers....sorry not to get any "doing stuff" type pic's this week. For some reason I never got round to taking any, I just forgot! Anyhow I though I would show you what I made the other night, being as I have a new Ott Craft Lite & now I can craft at night! It's great so wished I had got one sooner.
The card I have made here was inspired by a Tin of Cavallini & Co Stickers I have had for an age! I mounted the Little Letter Sticker on some gold card & used a pre prepared card blank I spritzed with Inkadinkis Ink mixed with some Perfect Pearls in Gold. I then stamped a boarder around the card with a Stempelglede Grunge Flourish, placed a Paris post mark sticker from a different Cavallini & Co Tin set I had in the top corner & Then embossed the sentiment in gold bottom right, the stamps one from Paula Pascual. The feathers are from one of those kids activity packs you get in Partners.
Hope your all having a great day & getting some snooping & crafting in! I am hoping to get to have a look at what some of you have posted for toady's WOYWW 67. Sorry if some of you have not heard from me in a while & I have not visited you, My apologies! Hopefully I will get in to some kind of routine again soon!
Thanks for stopping by today & I really appreciate the comments you leave, you inspire me to do more!

Lilac

Hi! Cheers for popping over to see my latest card offering! Here I have used a large lilac flower rub on & cut it out and place it on a prepared card base. For the base I spritzed using Inkadinks Ink in mixed with Perfect Pearls in gold & Lilac, stamped a bird cage with Versamark & used perfect pearls powder in Antique gold. I stamped the swirls down the side in Green ink & embossed with Stewart Gill interface embossing powder in Inter-violet (although it does not show up so good & as shiny as it really is in this picture) The sentiment is from Papermainia's Chatsworth collection. The top right stamp is from Inkadinkadoo's Morphic Bug collection of stamps.
Well all the sorting & holiday washing is done & dusted with now, so with a bit of luck I can get down to some crafting again! Hope you all well & coping with a change in the weather, it's poring down here & cold today, typically Manchester weather I suppose! Enjoy your day whatever you do! Happy crafting!

WOYWW 66 ...... back from Hols!!!

Hello! & Happy Whats On your work desk 66!
I am back from my trip to France, revived & feeling refreshed & looking forward to what the rest of the year brings! These are the only Crafty related items I brought back with me. I do like Toga products, I have not seen them on sale here anywere yet, although I do keep looking about for them. The papers are lovely shades for Autumn & Winter cards and some of the ribbons have lovely french sayings on them. There was a new craft shop that a friend who lives in Nice told me about, but I couldn't find it & then time was of course against me as the holiday seemed to fly by! I did buy some other bits and bobs for the house & two new bags, Well you have to don't you! Oh and some Perfume, 2 bottles! & some really good Salad Olive Oil, very important!
Well hopefully I will get cracking on some cards this week, seems ages since I did anything! hope your all well & enjoying your day! Thank's for stopping by & see you soon!
