WOYWW....Dekkies & Doings!

Well my desk was full of Yuletide bits n bobs! All stuff & things I have been messing with this week, plus a few items I purchased during a visit for a tablecloth to The Range, Cant seem to go in there without ending up in the Craft department!

This is how the Card ended up from last weeks desk I made for my sister's birthday I used my Slice for all the Die cuts you see, various SD cards used, Vintage Findings, Wedding, Think Pink.
I had to make an expanding type of envelope for this card as it was 8x8. I always end up decorating them, cant resist! Again it was using Slice die cuts & some lace tape & a Kay & Co Die cut tag.

And finally as an end to my Festive weeks of blogging here's the dekkies I did at the weekend. This year I went for a Red & Gold theme & some fresh Greenery from the Garden. My Yule cards are all done & posted but for one I have to finish for my Friend. Its another Gorjuss Design I am using again. I will post it here when its done. Well hope you have done your dekkies too & managed to get your WOYWW in quicker than me! Think its the latest I have ever entered? If you would like to share you work desk on a Wednesday too hop over to our leader Julia's Blog at

WOYWW....Bbbbbbrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!

Well what can I say! In a word Snow! Its all over the place, bet you have some wherever you are! We were doing ok till yesterday, and it still coming down today! Well at least it give me time to redecorate the kitchen, been saying I will do it for an age, so its finally done!
Anyhow on to the interesting stuff! My pic of the desk today includes some lovely Damask Foiled Card stock & Acetate from Kanban & Some Pro Markers I have been messing with! On the second pic you can see I have been having a go at some heat Embossing on parchment & heat proof acetate, the Cup & Saucer was January's Free Stamp from Craft Stamper Magazine. This was my first go at using the Markers and trying out some shading, think it will take me a bit to get into them though, as I don't have a lot of Stamps that I can use for colouring in. Although I did get sent a great site for Digi Images I will be trying out. I have also been using, yet again....Ella Blue, I found this Lovely, although a bit sinister looking,, with what looks like a scary bald doll under his arm! Its a Grand Adhesion's from Kay & Co from last Yuletide. It just fit with the colours of the Blues & Browns of the Papers & the Ribbon's from a Roll I was lucky enough to grab at an Antique Market in France, really cheap too! In fact I ended up with a bag of 6 rolls for a mear 2 Euros! The last pic is of a really nice Cuttlebug Snowy House Embossing folder. Think I am nearly there with Yuletide cards now, just got my Sisters & Brothers to make, be glad really, want to get on to something different! Take care all of you in this weather & hope your all doing ok!

WOYWW.....& Gorjuss 2!

It's come round quick this week again! Time is flying by, it's because Yule nearly upon us! Before we know it, we have pressys to wrap decorations to put up Xmas tree to buy Turkey to organize & the mother in laws present to shop for! Lets be honest its always left to us Women! Small moan, sorry about that, its just getting y'know...close! And apart from all these cards on my desk, which is about half of what I have made, I havent done much else! Just got 4 more to make for my Mum to give her good Friends & 5 to make for my Family, then that's it!
The card you see is the other Decoupage sheet from the Gorjuss kit from yesterday's post. I added the sentiment strip from a Kanban kit & some kaleidoscope peels offs along with some silver & black snake pattern paper from Paperchase. The little bow is some felt wrapped with string. I don't make a lot of cards like this, with people on & stuff, but think I might invest in some character stamps, better get to Sugar Nellie stamps I think. Keep well everyone & thanks for the visit!

Gorjuss!

This is a first for me! I have not used or worked with decoupage much at all! However I spotted this "Gorjuss" make 2 cards kit in The Range & decided to give them a try. I like the way they look, probably cos I love Blue's & Grey's. In the little kit you got 2 sheets of the girl & bear decoupage & 1 sheet of backing paper. I just added some Holographic card and some Glittery Peel offs. I have made the other one although just need to take pics of it, so will show it tomorrow. Time for me to go put some socks on I think its got really cold here overnight & looks like we could see some Snow! Hope your snug wherever you are!

WOYWW.....A Bit Late!

Ooo cutting it a bit fine for time today.....I forgot it was Wednesday, I know, whats that about! It's the voices they forgot to remind me! :) Today I have been re-vamping a few cards that I though at the time looked OK, but in hindsight.....didn't! So here I have showed one I have showed on here before, but to me looks better than before! Blimey that was a long winded explanation! I like to uses peel offs, not on everything but when I think they enhance cards!

Still got a box of Xmas Cards to finish off here to, they all need the inside's doing. I tend to make a load of cards then finish them off later on, inside sentiment & envelopes or boxes whatever I think looks best!
Hope to have all these done in the next few days! If time allows! Hope your all well & enjoying your WOYWW's snoops. If anyone's reading this and your not joined in with it & are not too sure how it all works then nip over to Julia's blog and have a look what you do & join in!

Pink & Purple & A Bargain!

Delved in to an DCWV Rose Tinted Christmas paper stack to do these! Fancied a bit of a change form Brown & Blue, although I will be doing more of that combo as I have just been asked to make 6 cards for someone, I do love it! Anyway added some embossed mirror card & pearl card for the matting & layering and on the second one added a little made up bow at the bottom. I used some nice trim, looks like a frosty spiderweb up close, the pic doesn't do it justice really, I purchased it in Nice France on my hols this year and wished I would have got more! Used the Marianne designs die again and Fiskers now famous, as well all went mad for it, Threading Water Edge Punch. Also squeezed on some of the little Mosaic glass tiles, just s little extra sparkle!
My next pic is a bargain of the month I think.....................

24 Scotch Glue sticks for, wait for it......£5.25 I know a complete BARGAIN!!!! They came form Costco last week, the Manchester Branch, so any of you with a membership for Costco go and get a pack now! They also do a nice paper pack at the min too and a few other craft scissors and stuff! Worth a visit if your near. Another place I just discovered for crafty stuff this week was Dunelm? Probably most of you know about it but it was new to me & got a 3 for 2 yesterday on Peel Offs! Well off to stoke up the Woodburner is cold here today, sunny but very cold!

WOYWW.....Blue & Brown!

I am loving g.d.c studio's "Ella Blue" Papers! Just wanted to do something different for Xmas cards & got inspired by an article in Craft Stamper magazine. Also nice to have a change with the little die cut Poinsettia in white pearl card too! The sentiment stamp if by PSX, I actually got it when I want to Monte Carlo! Typically me, found the only craft shop for miles around, some people would bring back other things from a holiday their, not me! Loved the shop more than all the sight seeing! Although lunch at the Cafe de Paris was wonderful!
Anyhow I digress. The glitter card came from Hobbycraft & I used Mac Gills Pine punch for the brown fronds, finished with Platinum Stickles & Glossy Accents.
Mr Binxz decided to sit on my Laptop in protest at me not giving him enough attention, I was just looking at a great web site dedicated to craft rooms too! The pic of all the toppers was a bargain buy this week from The Range 4 packs for a £1, so I got all these for £4! And theres a pic of my Xmas crafty box & dunno what to do with the flower soft toppers I made yet?
Hope you all well & doing ok this week. I am feeling perked up this week! Thank you to everyone who left me a comment last week, and the kind words you sent me, it really cheered me up! I don't feel like I have a lot of energy sometimes to blog or surf as much as I did, so its really appreciated at the moment, Thank you! "Hello" to my new followers too! Thanks for taking time to have a look at my site & joining in my crafty journey!
See you all soon!

Halloween Rock Birthday Card!

Here's my offering for Halloween! I was asked to make a card for a Friends husband's 40th Birthday this weekend. It gave me a chance to try out the Tim Holtz Skull Grungboard I have had for ages! I covered it with silver gilding then distressed it with a Cats Eye Charcoal ink pad. Added some silver brads on the bone ends & attached some lightweight chains. I matted the purple card that I dry embossed using a Glitter Girls Embossing panels on some black sparkle paper then on silver card. Inside the card the snake effect paper I used was from Paperchase. I made the Sentiment Embellishments using some La Blanche clear sparkle window stickers. I first of all placed a peel off on it then covered it with fancy black glittery card, again from Paperchase & then mounted them on 3D foam. I attached the Bat charm underneath the Happy Birthday embellishment using Pinflair glue.
I had to make a box for the card as it was quite heavy & deep, due to all the layers on it! I just made up another similer embellishment for the box again using another Tim Holtz Grungboard piece, layered up and embossed with eyelets and some purple & silver threaded wire around the edge. I am pleased with the end result and I enjoyed doing something different too!
Well hope you all enjoy the spooky weekend when the vail between the world's are thin! Remember those who have gone before & raise a glass to the Old One's! Blessings to you all!
