Letterpress Again!

More Letterpress, I do like it though. Even though the dry embossing looks great & inking too, I wanted to add something a bit extra to each card, my own take! Which is what it's all about, for me anyway. I added the black branches & then uses a tiny stamp from Paula Pascual's All Year Round stamp set to finish off the ends. The sentiment stamps from American Crafts. The Letterpress Printing plate is from the Wedding Set 1 & the birdie is from the Wedding Set 2.
The first turquoise card I used three printing plates from the Wedding 3 set. I misted the paper with Heirloom Gold Perfect Pearls and Inkadinks in Beany Green & Bluebell mixed in Mini Mister's. Then I inked the plate up using a mixture of Teal Green & Navy. Pressed it through my Cuttlebug and then Die cutted it out using Spellbinders labels 8 die. I matted it on Kanban Gold foiled Acetate. I took the pictures in the garden today as it was a really nice day & the light was ok outside. I hope you all have a good weekend and if anyone manages to get away this bank holiday have a great time! Take care all!

Hello! Thanks for stopping by!....well today's a 2 blue offerings so to speak! I do love blue tones, especially mixed with old sepia tones. The first card is made up of Kay & co papers along with a few different Anna Griffin & Cavelli & co stamps and I computer generated the sentiments & gave them 3 coats of UTTE and the sister card is a lovely cosmic looking Hero Arts stamp I have had for ages, but used little! Shame really forgot how great is looks! Short & sweet today, but more soon!

Big Flower

Today's post is this Big flower card! I made the layers using my Slice from the vintage findings MS+ Design card. Then run them through my cuttlebug swirls folder & then inked them & gave each layer 3 coats of UTTE. Finally finished of by edging the layers with platinum stickles. I like the white embossing on the card too, the paper is from Kay & Co. Then finished off using a few peel offs on the middle prima paper flower & corners & a big jewelled brand to hold it all together.
Just received my new slice this week as my original one went a bit mad when I tried to update it with a new MS+ design card. For some reason it would not calibrate anymore so everything I cut came out wonky all the time. Anyway now I have a new pink slice in its place complete with already installed speed boost & upgrade. Hope to show some stuff made this week with all being well, although I do have new letterpress creations to show too! Anyway check back soon & hope your out in the garden at some point today, I am sat out doing this as its a roaster today, must be at least 80! Enjoy!

Oriental

Finally turned my hand & head in another direction, a little look towards the orient for inspiration today! Must have been that take away I had for dinner!...lol....The pale turquoise is made up from a Hunkydory kit & some background paper by Cordinations, its a simple card with nice colours I think & maybe ok for a male birthday?
The second red card is a mixture of a free stamp from Craft Stamper magazine last year I embossed in black and coloured with Sakura Gelly Roll pens & the patterned paper panel comes from some very expensive Japanese Washi paper I had squirreled away for SPECIAL use ONLY!!! The little brass charm was from The Bead Shop in Afflecks Palace in Manchester, great sparkly shop!!!! Wonderful warm day today here & apparently its going to be even better tomorrow, so a garden day I think! Need to put my bedding plants out now it getting a bit warmer. Hope your all well & thanks for looking today. Enjoy this weekend whatever you do!

Ooo La La!!

Hello! Thanks for stopping by....I love this Corset card the stamp is by Clarity Stamp. I had see it a while ago in The Stamp Pad a fantastic craft shop in the village of Greenfield in Saddleworth. The lady who owns it Gwen makes superb cards for Barbra Gray who we all know is one of the absolute geniuses of the stamping world! I was lucky enough to see her doing some demos at Harrogate earlier this year.
I am still feeling Frenchy at the mo!!! hence another Paris card.....oooo I cant wait to go back, the wine the cakes the shopping.....aahhh Heaven!!! I used some spritzed card stock for the backgrounds on this card, the outcomes ok I think? Well hope alls well with you!

My First Follower!!

Firstly I want to thank Janet for being my very first blog follower! I was really chuffed today when I found out you liked my blog & are going to follow me! Much appreciated! I hope you like my two cards for today! I have been a bit vintage of late, and always loving anything French inspired. I have again been using my fav stash of the minuet G.C.D's beautiful Paris papers & the Cavellie & Co stamps again. I also used some of Papermainia's "Chatsworth" Collection papers too in the second card. Got my first lot of Pro-Markers the otherday, however! I am struggling a little with them as they are quite different from anything I have used before, they will take a bit of time to get used to I think, any advice from anyone eg; tutorials blogs etc would be much appreciated! Thanks for looking and have a great day all!

Parisian Inspired Kits!

These are a couple of cards I made using some toppers from the Mitford Collection from Kanban. I think they have matched well with the G.C.D Studios "Paris" collection papers. The stamped sentiments are from a set by Cavellie & Co they too are from a stamp set called "Paris", the stamps are mounted on varnished wood block in a cute vintage looking tin with an old fashioned tin ink pad. Bit of a busy day today so going to get on with things, check back soon. Have a great day all!

Lovin The L Letterpress!

Hello! Well though I would share some of my Quickcutz Letterpress creations with you. Here are a selection of cards I made using a couple of papers from Papermainia, Kay & Co as backing for the Purple Seal card and the Congratulations. The large printing plates from the Letterpress make great backgrounds for the cards too I think. I got mine from QVC when they did it as a TSV. I love using it!!! I know some people think its a messy thing to use, but to be honest with you I think the results are worth it. I have since got myself some extra printing plates and 12 more colours of ink. The inks are great as you can mix them together to make your own tones and shades for a custom look. Thanks for looking today! Hope your all well!

Recent Cards!

Hello! Heres a few recent creations. Been using all sorts papers & embellishments of late, cant say I have a certain style really! I sort of do what takes my mood. I love the Craftwork cards papers at the mo, and Paula Pascal's stamps, they seem to fit well with every kind of style & theres every kind of stylish sentiment you ever need! Also had a moment using some early Kanban cardsock I found this week. Thers also a little creation using some Kay & co and also some Papermainia papers and a "LOVE" Prima stamp I found too. I really don't know what I have sometimes hiding away in my little craft room. I have just ordered some Pro markers so I really need to get some help using them before I post anything I make using them. But on a negative front, Slice machine went mad & I sent it back to QVC & got a refund, so I have re-ordered a newer version of the Pink one, cos you get that nice Think Pink MS+ Design Card that's helps a very good cause! Hope you like my new cards & you are all well out there! Happy crafting everyone!

Regards
