WOYWW....erm... Just a card!

Hello Everyone! I feel a bit bad really joining in with WOYWW this week as I only have the card I have made on my desk! I havent had much time to do anything this week & being a neat freak my desk never has stuff hanging around on it as I always tidy away! I have left myself a post-it note this week to remenber to take pic's of the Desk "in action" for next week!

This card has been made using the "Mariposa" DCWV mat stack and also a copyright free print out digi image I had & just Distressed the egdes with Tim Holtz ink. I added the Wings peel off and the lace tape, that I coloured with Pro Markers. The Best wishes greeting was made using a Best Wishes peel off stuck to a plastic dimentional sticker then coverd with crape paper and mounted with foam pads. I used peel offs in the corners and used stickles & some dimentional glaze to highlight the typeface on the Manaquin and round the edges. On the inside I used Kay & Co paper & used a Spellbinders Lables die & finished off with a rub on sentiment! I like the colours in this card & can see myself using this combo often! Well, Tempus Fugit! Off to peruse your more productive spaces & desks than mine no doubt!!!

Regal Purple

More LL Bowen Decoupage for you today, I mixed it up with a Papermainia Brad I made with their kit & Used some cardstock from the Old World Stack by DCWV as well as some Cordinations card stock. Crystal Stickales glitter glue & some very bright purple foil boarder peels offs. The crown on the inside of the card was cut using my Slice from the Vintage Findings MS+ Design Card. I though I would show you the inside & the back for a change as this is normally how most of my cards are finished off. I also do the Envolope or Box the same way. I like the co-ordinated look! I chose not add a sentiment on the card or put any words in the card as I though it was ok to leave it as it was, thay way it could be used either as a card or a notelet. Cant belive its Monday all ready, the weekend flys by sometimes! Hope you all have a great day!

WOYWW 85

Hello Everyone on a beautiful bright Day here! The sun is streaming through the window. Today on my desk are my recent buy's and some stash I bought in sales. The scrapbook kits came from TK Max, there are 3 here but I have bought another 2 as well. They ranged from £2 to £5! Bargain as you get loads of bits n bobs in them & 12 sheets of 12x12 and an Album too! All the Scalloped edged card blancs and the full set of Dew Drop Inks came from QVC the cards are in sets of 20 and they are 120 for £12. The Paper pads & stacks all came form the Range as did the Papermaina Stamps set of sentiments & all the X-Cut Punches.

The card here is one I was asked to make for my Mums Best Friend. I used the Yummy Scrummy Papers from Craft Work crads and the felt butterfly from Papermainia, the Lable is from Kay & Co. I am now going to post this post!.....however I have just discover'd the spell checker is not working on Blogger??? I have had problems & glitches since changing to my new laptop! My Internet went off compleatley, my home netork system went mad & AOL hates compatability! I have lost all my Faves, twice! So thats why I havent posted much or visited many folks desks last week, however it looks like all done now, gingers crossed!!! If anyone could give me any info why Blogger spell checkers not working i would be greaful! My First WOYWW of 2011

Hello everyone & welcome to my first Whats on your workdesk wednesday of the year. As you can see I have been havinga a mess with some new bits n bobs I aquired in the sale at The Range. I have not used anything from the Lawrence Llywellen Bowen range from Do Crafts before. I made up some of the decoupage sheets and ended up using this one for a card. Its was easy to layer up as they are the pop out version of decoupage instead of cutting out, which I cant do! I had to have a giggle to myself when I had made this as I think the cherubs faces look like little old men! The one on the left looks a bit crosseyed too! Anyway I went a bit over the top with the gems as I though it ended up looking a bit Regal after I had added the crown! The backing paper was from DCWV Luxery Stack. I finished off with Peel offs & some Glitter.

Also on my desk as you can see are a sheet of stamped crowns. I was testing out some new ink pads I added to my stash. I hope you dont find too many spelling errors in this post as for some reason blogger wont let me spell check it! Had a few gremlins this past week here and there as I am still changing over from my old laptop to my new one, which has not been glitch free! To say I feel like throwing them both through a window would NOT be out of the question! ARGH!!! :) Keep well everyone & hope your all flu free! Its rife here where i live at the moment. Keeping away from most of my frainds as I have Asthma and really dont want to get it!

Back to Birthdays!

Glad to be back to birthdays! Yes I am! and the first Birthday Card of the year is always made for Mr Lavinias Mum as her birthday is New Years Eve. I did enjoy making this card after a raft of red & green & gold! I used some stash I have had a while and some newley aquired Yuletide crafty gifts. The papers are Kay & co & Papermainia. The Felt Butterfly is Henbury Lane from Papermainia as is the the sentiment stamp & banner, from their new mix n match greetings set. The card blanc was new too from QVC they were doing a special on them, good value too 120 mixed size scolloped edge card blancs. The ribbon is from a very special stash box I have, it's from an Antique Market in Nice France & I only EVER use it for very very special cards. The pearls & stickles finish off to add sparkle! I added the 2 pictures of the card so you could see it from both aspects, I like the darker of the two.

Not Made Its Of 2010!

Sometime I get asked to make cards to order with a certain colour or theam in mind! These are some of these. A bit reluctant to show some of them as the ideas are not always mine but what I have been asked to do! However I though about it and why not show some of them after all I did make them! Ok off to start my Diet! Oh bit there are a box of After Eights left??? Mmm maybe tomorrow instead!
