WOYWW 60.......well this 'n' that!

Well I've been at it again! Organizing, I had to have another sort out as I got a set of new drawers. It was a Costco buy a few weeks ago it's a trolley type thing with 14 drawers, so loads of room for more stuff! Although to be honest with you I have filled 10 of them with overflow stash that's been lying about my room a while! I have put punches in 3 of them, as you can see in the first pic. The second pic is how the glitter & stickles drawer ended up & 2 slim drawers with some small ink pads & extra Tim Holtz pads. Anyway that will have to be it for now with the storage issues until Mr Lavinia moves his Guitars off the walls in here, then I can get more shelves up!

Next pic are some Bracelet's I made for myself & a few as gifts. These were inspired by a trip out to the Bead Shop in Affleks Palace Manchester a while back. Got some glass beads & little square Amethyst beads. Loved it in there lots of sparkly things! I also bought some of that stretchy silicone looking bead elastic. Came home rooted out all the broken bead bracelets I had & got settled at my desk & 4 hours later I ended up with these. Really enjoyed making them too, very relaxing & satisfying!
Hope you all enjoying another Whats On Your Workdesk Wednesday! I better get this on as times jogging on today & still lots to do! Have a great day!

Pour Vous!

Hello! Thanks for stopping by today! I have again been delving in to my Cavellie & Co stamps. Here I have used a mixture of stamps from 2 diffident sets, the centre image "Pour Vous" or, For You & "Merci" or Thanks are from the Bonjour rubber stamp tin set. The crown & the post mark Paris stamps are from the Paris Rubber stamp tin set. The paper I used is from Kay & Co's Wild Saffron collection. I distressed the edges of the paper using Antique Linen Distress Ink & Whispers Chestnut. I also used a Grunge Flourish stamp from Stempelglede around the edge of the paper again with Chestnut ink. I then highlight the crown & ribbon with a Sakura stardust gel pen, & used vintage Lime Green glitter to highlight the leaves. Finished off using some smooth twine wrapped round the fold of the card and attached a piece of brown velvet ribbon & tide with twine and added a mother of pearl button.
Spent a few days filling a new drawer trolley type thingy in my craft room with stash that was overtaking my space! I have to be organized to function! Anyway things are looking better now, just shelves to get up & I think I will be about there. I will show you what I have been up to soon!
Have a great day & Happy Crafting!

WOYWW 59

Hello WOYWW'ers! Well its week 59 & I have two pic's of things going on this week. The first pic is my creativity going on making the (next 3 pic's) finished Patchwork Paper card, all made of scraps of MME Papers. Once the paper patches had been applied I then went over all the edges with Diamond Dust Stickles & then edged each side of the card with a Paper Boarder from Craftwork Cards. The Gold embossed sentiment is from Papermainia & I matted it on glitter card, like I did with the paper flower & then matted it on a Die Cut Scalloped Circle cut with The Slice. Finished off the flower & sentiment with some sticky gems!
The second desk pic is of a new set of stamps I treated myself to from a a great shop with a fab name!!
The stamps are from a company called "Stampelgelde" they do some amazing designs. This is the only shop, as far as I know! That stocks this range. I personally have been looking to get this set of "Grunge Flourish Hearts" for ages. I love the designs & the Red Rubber is amazingly detailed & deep etched. They arrive unmounted & then you cut them out & use whatever method to mount them. I prefer Kling on myself. I also got a bag of charms from the same shop, amazing buy, 20 assorted charms for £3 what a bargain. Its a really well stocked & great web site to shop from, I for one will be using them again.
Well hope you'r all well & enjoying summer (it's gone from were I live at the mo!) Have a great week all of you!

More Free My Minds Eye!

I have delved in to the free My Minds Eye "Quite Contrary" Papers again. Another kinetic card, which I always love making. The sentiment on the front of the card was also in the paper stack, cut out & matted it on to more paper. The swirls were cut using my Making Memories Slice, used the Think Pink MS+ Design card. The stamped sentiment on the inside of the middle fold is from Papermainia. The paper flowers are from Papermainia & I used a Mother of pearl Button to tie them together & I finished the card off using Stickles glitter glue in Platinum & Sakura gel pens & some stick on Pearls.
Thanks to everyone who's left some lovely comments on here past few weeks, I really appreciated them, you are all most kind! They have really lifted my spirits of late, not that I have been through anything of note, but to be honest with you I have have a few set backs & knocks I really could have done without. However, I must go onwards & upwards so the saying goes! Hope you all have a great weekend.
Happy Crafting

WOYWW 58

Happy WOYWW all! As you can tell by my desk (organized crafter as ever) I have a French theme going on today, one of my fave subjects for card making. I do have to reel myself on this subject as I do love France and indeed all things French. But today is a special day if your French as it's Bastille Day a national holiday, Viva La France!
I think the fascination started from being quite young and dearly wanting to visit Paris! I finally got there on my 4oth Birthday (better late than never then) & so began the love of all things French. Since then I have visited France, especially Provence & Cote D'Azur a number of times, I will be going again in a few weeks, so already have my shopping list sorted out, oooo the craft shops are great as too are the flea markets. Last year I came home with a load of vintage ribbon & some great stamps too.
The second pic today is getting ideas for what I thinking about doing and the first pic is putting things together. Here on my desk I have two sets of stamps in Tin's by Cavellie & co I am using, also to the left there are a pack of labels from Kay & Co. On the right is a new Papermainia Rose Garden pad. Hope to have what I made from this on here later today. Happy Nosing & I will have a butchers at your desks later! Have a great day all!

Three For Friday

Thought I would show you these!...Used the free My Mind's Eye papers that came with the August issue of Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine. They are great summery colours that remind a bit of 50's style patterned Apron's (Pinny's) like my Nana used to wear! I have used them with some Peel offs & a few different Stickles & Sakura Pens. I enjoyed making them. I was listening & singing along to a load of old 80's Electronica tunes, Yazoo, Depeche Mode, Tears For Fears, OMD. Great to here some of them again after all this time! Triple CD from HMV only £7 bargain! like the free papers. Hope you all have a great weekend, apparently we are in for a Scorcher... Great, strike up the BBQ!...lol...C u soon!

Slightly Shabby?

Had a rummage through my scraps box and discovered this wood effect looking paper! Don't remember using it before??? but decided to use it for this card! Think it came from a show at one of "cram all the paper you can in one of those plastic folder & scarper quick stalls"...... as you have over stuffed it & embarrassed yourself by trying to put way too much in and now you cant close the plastic folder! I also used some Pink Dotty paper from Craftwork cards & used Autumn Leaves Swirls stamps and embossed in white & added lace & Paula Pascual's Sentiment stamps set. Punched out paper circles and covered them in Diamond Stckles. I quite like the colour combo in this one, hope you do too! Have a great day!

Celtic

Decided a while ago to try out Debbie Moore's Metal Magic. Here I used a Versamark pad & coverd it 2 times & heated it up (like you do with UTTE) and then stamped in to it while its hot. The stamp is a Triskele Design from Anita's Crafts, I got it in my local craft department down the road in The Range. The papers are Core-dinations, same colour but one sanded & one not. I edged the card and a strip down the centre with double sided tape & coverd it in Black Glitter Flock. The sentiment is a Lable Peel Of by Papermainia.
Been watching QVC's Christmas Craft Shows today, cant say theres anyhting that tempted me much, although I have orderd Rangers Ice Stickles as I though they were good value for a set of 12. Think the mojo fairy is hovering in the background & hopefully will sprinkle me with the Crafty Dust? Just in time for WOYWW! C U all soon & have a great day!

Bronze & Burnt Orange!

Hello! Its been a few days this week since I posted anything, sorry about that but had a few challenging things on plate of late, which in turn has caused my crafty mojo to take a vacation! This is a card I made a while ago that I got it out to look at it and it inspired the previous post of Beige & Cream. The paper if from a DCWV Old world mat stack & some off cuts from my scrap box & the ribbon is from Kanban out of a QVC kit. The sentiment is an In Circles sentiment from Craftwork Cards. The flowers are Papermainia & again I have finished with Sakura Stardust Gel pen, ooh love the sparkle!..;) I have a few things on my desk I am fidgeting around with at the min although I keep leaving & getting distracted & going back and tutting & huffing! Like you do sometimes I suppose! Well I hope the Crafty Mojo fairy calls at my place soon! And brings some inspiration! Thanks for the visit!
